The DS-1 Distortion is a true icon in the world of guitar effects. Before the DS-1, most distortion pedals produced harsh, buzzy tones and muddy sound at high gain settings. Gut
Tut was es soll. Es gibt viele Reviews über das Pedal die es erklären. Vielleicht nicht für Metal geeignet, jedoch könnte ich mir selbst das mit einem Marshall vorstellen. Der Amp ist sowieso massgebend für den Erfolg. Fazit: Günstig, gut und empfehlenswert.

Mein erstes 'richtiges' Pedal
Dies war mein erstes Pedal. Auf der Suche nach einem guten Distortion-Pedal bin ich auf dieses preisgünstige Exemplar gestossen. Nun, um zu beginnen, dieses Pedal ist ein Klassiker. Wenn man bedenkt, dass es von vielen Profis benutzt wird, bin ich überrascht, dass es immer noch so billig ist, im Gegensatz zum Ibanez Tube Screamer zum Beispiel. Die Bedienelemente sind ähnlich wie bei einem Tube Screamer, aber der Sound ist meiner Meinung nach ganz anders. Leider habe ich es nicht geschafft, meinen idealen Sound damit zu erzeugen und habe es daher schnell ersetzt. Trotzdem hat es sich in den meisten Reviews bewährt und wird noch heute von vielen als sagenhaft bezeichnet. Meines ist es leider nicht und ich bevorzuge den RAT.

Erstes Distortion Pedal
Wie bei Boss üblich, super hergestellt. Als erstes Distortion Pedal 1978 richtig gut gelungen. Von Hardrock bis 80er Jahre Metal ist alles machbar. Das zeigte schon Gary Moore damals. Wer diesen Sound sucht ist hier genau richtig.

Boss Distortion Pedal
Wie von Boss gewohnt sehr gut hergestellt.
Das Pedal ist modern abgestimmt und ist nicht eine Kopie des DS 1, da es mehr Verzerrung liefert.
Klingen tut's ganz gut, aber halt sehr für den heutigen Metal abgestimmt.
Wer das sucht wird gut bedient.

Nichts für Metal Heads
Das DS-1 Pedal hat natürlich nicht den Biss und Drive für Metal, was ich auch nicht gesucht hatte - vielmehr ein 70er / 80er Rock Sound.
Bedienung ist mit 3 Reglern einfach gehalten und problemlos.
Klingt super mit Humbucker sowie single Coil.
Also wer es mehr rockig oder bluesig mag, der ist definitv gut bedient.
Qualiät ist wie immer bei BOSS top.
Zudem besten Dank an MusiX für die unkomplizierte Handhabung während der COVID-19 Pandemie.

The must have
Als anfänger in Pedale sammlung habe mich gedacht, dass jeder ein DS1 haben muss. Die sieht cool aus und klingt wie eine reine Distortion nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Konnte doch ein bisschen mehr Biss haben.
Zusammen mit ein BOSS SD-1 als boost ist ziemlich geil muss ich sagen
