Seven inspiring sound engines The Grandstage X is equipped with seven independent sound engines, each of which could be considered a product in its own right. These sound engines deliver an incomparable wealth of high-quality sounds, setting the Grandstage X apart from the crowd. Premium piano and electric piano sounds thanks to SGX-2 and EP-1 engines Thanks to the “SGX-2” sound engine for acoustic pianos, the Grandstage X is equipped with a large selection of piano sounds that are popular around the world. The “SGX-2” engine delivers the subtle yet powerful expressiveness of an acoustic grand piano, using unlooped samples for each individual Key, up to 12 dynamic levels, damper resonance and naturally occurring mechanical noises to achieve the best possible sound. The result is an incomparably authentic grand piano sound with excellent expressive possibilities. The Grandstage X delivers 13 main pianos, including six world-famous grand pianos made in Germany, Italy and Japan. The two new GSX and Nautilus pianos can even be layered with the GSX Far Piano and Nautilus Far Piano to create the perfect piano ambience to suit your taste. Other piano sounds include well-known upright pianos and baby grand pianos, the OASYS piano, which is particularly popular in band contexts, the legendary SG1D stage piano from KORG, the M1 piano, which is an integral part of pop music in the 80s and 90s, and a historical pianoforte, just to name a few. To meet the needs of professional users, the instrument also includes three mono piano sounds and a mid-range piano sound. The collection also includes other vintage electric piano sounds: "Tine 1 Late", "Tine II", "Tine V", "DMP" and the two "200" and "20 OA", which are based on the striking of sound tongues (reeds). The MDS (Multi-Dimensional Synthesis) technology, a further development of the velocity switch concept, naturally reacts to the lightest touches on the keyboard. Three unique organ emulations with CX-3, VOX and FC-1 The tonewheel organ engine "CX-3" is a perfect reproduction of the legendary KORG combo organ. The transistor organ engine "VOX" reproduces the sound of the classic VOX organ, which was introduced in the 1960s and had a great influence on pop music. The other transistor organ engine, "FC-1", emulates the sound of the compact organ that dominated the same era together with the VOX organ. In combination with the integrated rotary speaker and vibrato effects, nothing stands in the way of unadulterated organ enjoyment. In addition to the five sound engines listed above, the Grandstage X also offers the "AL-1" analog modeling sound engine for assertive lead and fat synth brass sounds, as well as the "HD-1" PCM sound engine for a wide range of other sounds and instruments. The "HD-1" engine contains a variety of classic keyboard sounds such as the "Clavi D" and "Clavi E" sampled in eight dynamic levels, harpsichord, pipe organ, the electric concert grand piano sampled in six dynamic levels, and the FM electric piano with its unique metallic sound character. Breathtaking design The Grandstage X has an independent design that is highly recognizable and has the potential to become a modern classic. The sturdy, painted aluminum housing is designed with soft curves, with the curved side panels made of perforated metal. The retro-futuristic look of this design, combined with the upper housing cover in ivory white, creates a truly impressive appearance. Key-Touch Slider for direct control of expressivity The Key-Touch Slider allows direct control of the effect of the touch force on the volume and sound, allowing the feel of the keyboard to be changed in real time to adapt it to the respective playing situation. By simply moving this slider, the keyboard responds more or less strongly in an instant, allowing the expressivity of the Grandstage X to be individually adapted to your own playing style. Three parts for split and layer sounds The control section for the different parts is very clearly designed with three buttons and sliders. The On/Off buttons allow you to create layer and split sounds, while the sliders are available for mixing the respective volume ratios. The program names of the respective parts are shown in the display, which provides a better overview. Layer and split sounds can be used at the same time, so for example the right hand can consist of a layer of piano and strings, while the left hand plays a bass sound. Add the warmth you need to your sounds with Nutube The "Analog Tone" function delivers an analog sound character that can only be achieved with the help of a tube drive circuit. The effect can be switched on using the "On/Off" button and adjusted using the rotary control, allowing you to quickly achieve the desired result. Refine your sound with effects and the equalizer The Grandstage X offers direct control over the reverb and delay effects on its control panel, so you can quickly and easily switch between different effect types and adjust their intensity. A new shimmer reverb has been added, and a 3-band equalizer allows you to easily adapt the overall sound to the acoustic conditions of the respective location. Fatter sounds thanks to the Unison function The "Unison" function, which is familiar from analog synthesizers but unique to stage pianos, can be used to fatten up synthesizer or FM piano sounds and give them a chorus-like effect . The unison slider can be used to control the number of voices used per note and thus the intensity of the effect. User-friendly rhythm and chord progression section The Grandstage X has its own rhythm and chord progression function, which is a further development of the drum track function known from KORG workstations and synthesizers. The fully featured rhythm track consists of drums and bass and can either follow the chords played or a set chord sequence to enrich your performance with a perfectly coordinated rhythm section. Premium RH3 keyboard made in Japan for nuanced playing The Grandstage X , which is manufactured in Japan with the utmost care and precision, is equipped with a fully weighted hammer action keyboard. The RH3 keyboard has been meticulously designed to replicate the varying weighting of a real grand piano keyboard, which has greater resistance in the lower registers than in the higher registers, allowing for nuanced and expressive playability.
