Paiste 14" Medium Hi-Hat Formula 602

Although the Formula 602 Sound Edge Hi-Hat left its mark on numerous world-famous recordings, interest in a 14" medium hi-hat was already announced with the reintroduction of the series.

In 1959 Paiste presented a cymbal series for the first time, which subsequently became a should be one of the most respected model series in cymbal history - Formula 602 .

Their fine, pure and always controlled musical sound refined the rhythms of such well-known artists as Joe Morello, Art Blakey, Paul Motian, Ndugu Chancler, Jon Hiseman, Charlie Watts and many other top drummers.

Especially in jazz, the rapidly developing beat and rock music, avant-garde or acoustic styles, Formula 602 cymbals were considered the non plus ultra for more than three decades. Paiste faithfully brings back the 602 flair not only in terms of sound, but also visually.

The black logo and red printed model designation make the hearts of Formula 602 fans beat faster. Formula 602 are made exclusively by hand in Switzerland from the CuSn20 bronze used at the time. It uses traditional methods that have remained unchanged for over half a century.
