With its unique layout, the MPS-10 offers enough space for 10 standard-sized drum pads despite its compact dimensions. 100 pre-assigned kits, over 2,350 assignable pad instruments and 3,000 samples from the areas of acoustic drums, percussion, electronic drums as well as SFX, hits and impacts are available ex works. Thanks to the integrated sampling function with audio and microphone inputs and the 32 GB memory, the MPS-10 can also be expanded to your heart's content with your own samples and thus completely customized to your personal taste. The clever 4-track looper invites you to create expansive live performances, and the audio tracks created in this way can be synchronized with each other and exported as individual WAV files if desired. Thanks to its 48-voice polyphony, the MPS-10 allows for even the most complex Pattern , and the clever Smooth Sound Transition function (SST) enables longer sounds to fade out naturally when switching kits. The effects section offers a master reverb, two insert effects and an additional main effect , offering plenty of options for editing the sound of individual instruments or a complete kit. Another special feature are the four CC pads at the top of the MPS-10 , which detect the position of the attack on the X-axis and can use them to control effect settings such as filter cutoff in real time. Despite its elegant design, the MPS-10 was designed for use "on the road" and can therefore easily handle even the toughest everyday touring. The 10 drum pads are made of a durable material with excellent rebound properties, giving a pleasantly natural playing feel. Their color-coded LED lighting also provides visual feedback on their current operating status at all times. Thanks to the additional inputs, up to four additional triggers, two foot switches and an expression pedal can optionally be connected to the MPS-10 . The four audio outputs can also be used to route the output signals to different channels, and thanks to the MIDI OUT socket, external sound generators can also be controlled via the pads. The generously sized color display provides the necessary information in every situation and can be clearly read even in difficult lighting conditions. The individual sounds and kits can be edited and managed particularly conveniently using the free editor software on a computer connected via USB. NEW FUNCTIONS, OPTIMIZED WORKFLOW, GREATER FLEXIBILITY With operating system version 2.0, KORG is giving its MPS-10 drum, percussion and sampler pad a free update that is bursting with new features. Optimized user interface The new "Pad Overview" view uses the large color display on the MPS-10 to provide an overview of all the sounds assigned to the individual pads and external triggers. This means that the player is always fully aware of the MPS-10 assignment. Other displays, such as the operating status of the CC effects or the calibration of external expression pedals, also make use of the revised user interface to guide the user quickly and safely to their goal. Revised touch dynamics The internal pads on the MPS-10 now react even more sensitively to the stick attack and thus reproduce even quieter passages much more reliably. Eight different touch curves also help to optimally adapt the playing feel to your own wishes. New CC pad functions The unique CC pads (for Continuous Control) have been extremely popular since the introduction of the MPS-10 , as they allow effects, filters and pitch to be manipulated while playing without having to put the sticks down. Version 2.0 now includes the three effects "CC Mod delay", "CC Chorus" and "CC Tape Echo", the parameters of which can also be influenced by the striking position on the CC pads. Extended looper function One of the most popular features of the MPS-10 is undoubtedly the flexible 4-track looper, which can be used to bring thrilling loop performances to the stage in no time at all, either by pressing a button or using the optional foot switch. Version 2.0 now makes it possible for the first time to place a loop you have just recorded directly on one of the pads, which significantly expands the looper's capabilities. Connecting external USB controllers Operating system version 2.0 makes it possible to connect external USB MIDI controllers to the MPS-10 . This means that its sounds can be triggered, for example, by a fully equipped electronic drum set, a MIDI sequencer or various controllers. And to make entering kit, instrument or sample names particularly easy, simply connect a standard USB keyboard! In addition, data transfer between the computer and the MPS-10 has been noticeably accelerated, resulting in a significantly improved workflow. New preset kit for external triggers In version 2.0, the MPS-10 offers a special preset kit in which all inputs for optional extensions such as up to four additional triggers, two foot switches and an expression pedal are already pre-assigned with the corresponding sounds or functions. Use this kit to demonstrate to your customers how easy it is to expand the MPS-10 and adapt it to your own needs, e.g. with an additional kick pad, cymbal pads and an expression pedal as a hi-hat controller.
