Description
The Warwick Alien acoustic bass sound can be classified between E and double bass. It offers a variety of expressive possibilities and expands the sonic palette immensely. The unusual design of the cutaway and the asymmetric soundhole also contribute to the uniqueness and the warm tones of this instrument. The sides and the back of the Alien are laminated to increase the stability. The design makes the bass great for stage use. Even without amplification, the sound of the alien is concise, dynamic and expressive, with a gruff tone and rich punch over the entire frequency range of the instrument. It is equipped with the Fishman Prefix Plus system. The preamp offers many options to shape the sound: a notch filter, phase reverse switch as well as controls for bass, treble, brilliance and a semi-parametric contour control. A 'low battery' indicator informs the player about a loss of capacity of the 9-volt battery.
