Rode PodMic (black)

The PodMic was specially developed for voice recordings with the RODECaster Pro (in the menu of the RODECaster Pro there is already an optimally suitable preset, which can be selected as fast as lightning). Thanks to its normal three-pin XLR connector, the PodMic is equally suitable for radio, audio and dubbing studios.
The speaker microphone has a professional dynamic kidney capsule and its own swivel bracket that allows it to be attached to a table stand (DS1) or swivel arm (PSA1) and then conveniently aligned with the speaker. It is safe to dispense with the use of a spider: the microphone capsule itself is elastically suspended and the swivel mount internally decoupled from the body.
As a dynamic microphone, the PodMic is significantly less sensitive than a condenser microphone, making it ideal for studios and speakers who struggle with ambient noise or unfavourable room acoustics. The frequency response of the PodMic was perfectly tuned to speech transmission at 50 Hz - 13 kHz. The sound of the PodMic is rich in detail, full, silky, balanced and always pleasant to listen to - both in gentle recitation of poems as well as in enthralling sports reports.
The stainless steel two-ply stainless steel mesh basket and fabric over the capsule effectively dissipate explosive consonants and sibilants without compromising transparency - no need for an external pop filter. The end-fire dynamic capsule is protected by a stainless steel mesh grille and a integrated pop shield, allowing you to get up close to the microphone for that intimate ‘radio’ sound.
