The similarity to other Corvette models should not obscure the fact that this instrument is a completely unique bass with a distinct character. The two passive MEC MM-Style humbuckers are located exactly in the legendary sweet spots. Despite all the power that these humbuckers exude, the $$ (Double Buck) also has a gentler side, which can be accessed using the two 3-way mini switches. These switches allow the humbuckers to be configured independently (as humbuckers in parallel and series or as a single coil), while a MEC 2-band preamp further potentiates the available tonal palette, making this bass a true passive/active hybrid at its best Both worlds! The sound of this bass, which requires a gun license (original sound from our developers), is carried by selected components: a selected Body made of US swamp ash ensures a rich tone and good attack, the screwed-on Ovangkol neck with a wenge fingerboard ensures stability and the legendary growl. The frets made of bell brass, used with a special technology, offer optimal resonance and longevity.
