Description

The Marshall 1x 12 "combo with the model number" 1974 "is one of today's most sought-after collector's items that have ever Jim Marshall's left Ampmanufaktur. This probably purist Marshalls were generally made only from 1966 to 1968, and then by rich-equipped models replaced.

Simple tube - all without ...

Especially in its minimum configuration is the secret of the direct and defined sound character. Kenner particularly appreciate that this amp but no lack of variety, because its tube rectifier makes the 1974X in connection with the 18 watt EL84 ClassA amplifier when necessary to fat overdriven Blue Combo, when the volume knob on the gas is given.

A speaker like no other ...

Of course, also had the rare Celestion Greenback T1221 15 Ohm / 20 Watt Speaker (ceramic magnet) large share of the characteristic sound of "1974" combos. For the year 2004 appear hand-wired reissue of the classic, so the model 1974X, Celestion Speaker was this (by historical standards) is exactly reproduced. Supply which handwired reissues of old classics to their original sound to perfection.

Improvements in detail:

In contrast to the original 1974X had no impedance selector switch, and speakers. The foot switches were hard-wired, also the anodes and fuses were not accessible from the outside - but without these improvements, the new edition published in 2004 would hardly contemporary. The Extrabox '1974CX "(and today for existing connection was) was not yet there. In addition, the original was of course not with the CE-related features such as Euro power cord, flame resistant fabrics, Fieberglaslötleiste and aluminum grille fitted to the tube cover.

The reissue is thus an authentic reproduction dar. with user-oriented enhancements in terms of sound, equipment, manufacturing process and materials used (eg, the classic aluminum chassis) both variants are of course exactly the same.

Einfach nur perfekt!!!

Nachdem ich mehrere Amps der Handwired series angespielt habe, fiel die Wahl auf den 1974X. Der Sound ist einfach klassisch Marshall. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger - also keine Experimente. Wer auf der Suche nach dem Marshall-Ton ist, wird hier fündig und glücklich. Im Vergleich zu den anderen Handwired Verstärker hat mich hier vor allem der Bass überzeugt. Er ist präsent aber nicht aufdringlich. Alles in allem bin ich super glücklich mit dem Kauf
