Hotone has officially launched Sound Clone, a powerful new black-box modeling technology that brings a major upgrade to the entire Ampero II Series.

As the evolution of Tone Catch, Sound Clone enables users to accurately capture the sound characteristics of real amplifiers and pedals using just a computer and a basic audio interface. It also now supports importing NAM (Neural Amp Modeler) files, providing greater tone flexibility and compatibility across platforms.

With this update, the Ampero II series (Ampero II Stomp, Ampero II Stage, Ampero II) will be the first to support Sound Clone.

Sound Clone Highlights:

- NAM File Support: Sound Clone can now convert NAM files into Hotone’s proprietary .clo format for seamless integration into Hotone devices.

- Expanded Storage Capacity: The optimized data structure now allows users to store up to 30 cloned tones on their Ampero II device.

- Complete Tone Cloning Workflow: Simply play an impulse file through your gear, record the response using your audio interface, and let Sound Clone analyze and generate a .clo tone file that can be directly imported into your device.

- High-Fidelity Tone Replication: Leveraging Hotone’s CDCM HD + F.I.R.E. modeling technologies, Sound Clone faithfully captures complex tonal nuances, delivering an authentic sound experience close to the original equipment.

- Backward Compatibility: Ampero II Series devices support both .tone and .clo formats. Existing .tone files remain usable, and newly imported .tone files will automatically convert to .clo.
