I like this unit a lot for the sounds and the options it offers. It is slightly more limited than the Helix and Helix LT but it is also easier to operate and is substantially more affordable and compact. For me, what it offers is already way more than what I will ever use.
One design flaw with the POD Go wireless: the wireless transmitter can only be charged by plugging in into the unit; there is no alternative charging option available. (One cannot buy a separate, dedicated charger for this transmitter.) However, the unit has to be turned on for the charging. We have a timer in the band room that could turn off the unit after a while, but the minute that happens, the transmitter starts losing charge and within just a few days will be completely depleted (I have tried). One therefore has to remove the charged transmitter from the charging slot and replug it into a dedicated storage slot on the unit. So, if you use the POD Go only sporadically (say once a week in at a rehearsal), the wireless option is useless; it is then worth buying its cheaper version without wireless. If you use it every day, you have to leave it turned on for the transmitter to be charged, wait until is it fully charged, turn off the unit and unplug the charged transmitter. I am still happy with this unit for its sound and options but the wireless option is only suitable logistically for daily home practice rather than rehearsals or gigs.
