Description

The Voyager MKII is a mid-range overdrive/preamp that contains all the mythical magic of the original Voyager and adds a wealth of features not previously available in a clone-style pedal. Whether at low or more prominent settings, the Voyager delivers exceptional clarity for any playing style.
At lower gain settings, it brightens the signal and adds clarity to each note. With the gain turned up, the Voyager turns into a rich overdrive that adds depth to chord playing while maintaining the clarity needed to "pierce" the mix in solos, for example.

The Voyager MKII breaks the traditional Centaur three-knob topography by adding a footswitchable parametric mid-frequency EQ with a +/-12dB boost/cut range. The Freq (frequency) knob then controls the central frequency that the Mid knob is set to, and offers a range of 250Hz to 2kHz. Ideal for adapting to any guitar and pickup combination and customizing the tone to your own playing style.

The Voyager's five-way rotary switch offers several diode clipping options:

1. Classic 1N34A germanium diodes (most compressed). This is the original Voyager sound.
2. Classic 1N34A germanium diodes with bass boost
3. Symmetrical silicon diodes (more open and dynamic).
4. Asymmetric silicon diodes (least compressed, open and slightly distorted).
5. Asymmetrical silicon diodes with bass boost (least compressed, open and slightly distorted with bass boost).

Think of each position as a different "flavor" of the pedal. Fine-tune each of these modes with the Mid/Freq EQ for a nearly infinite range of gain options.

The Voyager comes in two versions:
• Seafoam with black lettering and the Voyager satellite, illustrated by original Voyager artist Nathan Price.
• The minimalist version comes in matte black with cream lettering and the space helmet, illustrated by Christi Du Toit.

Brand

Art and Performance. Walrus Audio is a collective of artists, musicians and engineers attempting to find the balance between art and performance in sound manipulation. Throughout the years we have been inspired by sounds created by our favorite companies: the perfect breakup on an overdrive; a thick, punchy distortion; an endlessly sustained reverb; a self-oscillating delay. We had to give it a shot. Through many months of late night breadboarding sessions, circuit problem-solving, and sonic tweaking we have come up with a range of guitar pedals as versatile as they are functional. From smooth fuzz to cutting overdrive, our attempts have been to highlight the functions that we would want from these particular sounds. Once we had an accurate idea of the sounds we were creating, we then tried to capture the feel and representation of the pedals through their individual artwork. This process was made possible by Oklahoma artist and musician Nathan Price. Taking stylistic inspiration from classically animated films and using freehand sketching, Nathan has perfectly captured what our pedals should look like. It is our goal to make guitar effects that are as interesting to play as they are to look at. So that's what we are going to do.
