Ampero II Stomp 10th Anniversary Limited Edition is a limited run of 1,200 units, each unit comes with a 10-inch red vinyl collecting 6 songs from 6 different bands in which Hotone team members are involved.
Hotone has officially launched Sound Clone, a powerful new black-box modeling technology that brings a major upgrade to the entire Ampero II Series.
As the evolution of Tone Catch, Sound Clone enables users to accurately capture the sound characteristics of real amplifiers and pedals using just a computer and a basic audio interface. It also now supports importing NAM (Neural Amp Modeler) files, providing greater tone flexibility and compatibility across platforms.
With this update, the Ampero II series (Ampero II Stomp, Ampero II Stage, Ampero II) will be the first to support Sound Clone.
Sound Clone Highlights:
- NAM File Support: Sound Clone can now convert NAM files into Hotone’s proprietary .clo format for seamless integration into Hotone devices.
- Expanded Storage Capacity: The optimized data structure now allows users to store up to 30 cloned tones on their Ampero II device.
- Complete Tone Cloning Workflow: Simply play an impulse file through your gear, record the response using your audio interface, and let Sound Clone analyze and generate a .clo tone file that can be directly imported into your device.
- High-Fidelity Tone Replication: Leveraging Hotone’s CDCM HD + F.I.R.E. modeling technologies, Sound Clone faithfully captures complex tonal nuances, delivering an authentic sound experience close to the original equipment.
- Backward Compatibility: Ampero II Series devices support both .tone and .clo formats. Existing .tone files remain usable, and newly imported .tone files will automatically convert to .clo.

Klasse Modeling Pedal
Eigentlich bin ich eher ein Purist und fand die meisten elektronischen Simulationen in den seltensten Fällen so richtig zufriedenstellend. Beim Hotone Ampero muss ich aber offen gestehen, ist dies deutlich besser gelungen, die Presets sind teilweise echt nahe am Original. Die Bedienung über den Touchscreen funktioniert überraschend gut, aber eher nicht 'on Stage' (dabei scheinen mir die drei kleinen Regler unterhalb des Displays bei Bedienung der Schalter mit dem Fuss eher unglücklich positioniert). In Zusammenarbeit mit der Software am Mac ist das aber alles schnell vergessen. Der Aufbau ist recht logisch und funktioniert wie eine Kette aus Amp und Pedalboard. Die Simulationen der Verstärker und Boxen sind meiner Meinung nach recht authentisch (nicht alle, aber doch einige). Ich brauche den Ampero vor allem im Homestudio und dafür ist er richtig gut geeignet. Klare Empfehlung für den Heimgebrauch!

Was soll man sagen: Einfach nur geil
Schnell mal was ausprobieren, ein Effekt hier oder da... dafür ist so ein Gerät wie der Ampero II gemacht. Ich finds toll zum üben und der Preis stimmt auch, viele Effekt-Bodentreter bekommt man nämlich ansonsten nicht dafür.
