In terms of performance data, the A44H and the A7V are very close. However, the A44H offers a very interesting housing variant: With its horizontal driver arrangement and a width of exactly 19 inches, the A44H can be perfectly placed on a studio rack as well as above or below a screen or screen. This design is also ideal for use as a center speaker in a 5.1, 7.1 or 3D monitor configuration. Two 4-inch long-throw woofers and an X-ART tweeter enable a wide frequency range. The DSP functions offer individual options for sound adjustment. Rotatable HPS waveguide and X-ART tweeter The ADAM Audio HPS (High-Frequency Propagation System) waveguide ensures precisely directed sound guidance with a wide beam angle horizontally and narrow focusing vertically. All A-Series models use the rotatable HPS waveguide design, which allows the tweeter to be rotated 90 degrees. This means that the monitor can be used both vertically and horizontally - without having to forego the advantages of the waveguide. The A-Series HPS waveguide is made from a new type of fiberglass polymer material. Its high density minimizes unwanted resonances and supports a clear sound. The ADAM Audio X-ART tweeter is located in the center of the rotating HPS waveguide. Handcrafted in Germany, this tweeter guarantees maximum impulse fidelity and richness of detail. All A-series models are equipped with this X-ART tweeter. Multi-layer mineral woofer The membrane of an A-series woofer consists of several, firmly connected layers of a mineral fiber material. This material is characterized by minimal weight and maximum rigidity. The exact nature was adapted specifically for each loudspeaker model. In combination with the newly developed magnet system, each woofer from the A series delivers exceptionally high levels with minimal distortion - essential for clean and powerful bass reproduction. Hybrid amplification The A series combines the best of the digital and analog worlds: The woofers are driven by Class D power amplifiers - optimal for linear performance and minimal distortion. The power amplifiers used impress with their high efficiency, which is accompanied by low heat generation. This creates potential for further improvements and even higher performance. Class AB power amplifiers are used for tweeters and midrange drivers. They are known for their particularly neutral reproduction of high frequencies. Each power amplifier is optimized precisely for its frequency range. The selection and composition of the individual components are the result of countless measurements and listening sessions in the ADAM Audio development laboratories. DSP-based electronics Thanks to powerful DSP technology, all A-series monitors offer significantly improved and more extensive fine-tuning options compared to purely analog speakers. The firmware can be updated at any time via an Ethernet connection. This means that A-Series monitors always have ADAM Audio’s latest DSP features – such as new filter types and “voicings”. Adaptation to the room acoustics For optimal adaptation to the acoustic environment, there is a 4-band equalizer on the back of every A series loudspeaker with the parameters “Bass”, “Desk”, “Presence” and “Treble”. Over 100 variants for fine adjustment enable adaptation to the most demanding listening environments in seconds.
