Richter Strap Lock Set #1763 (chrome)

Assembly instructions:

1. Disassembly of the original guitar pins and assembly of the Richter Strap Lock guitar pins

Disassemble the original guitar pins from your guitar. If your guitar pins include a removable screw, please check if this screw fits through the guitar pins of the Richter Strap Lock System. If so, we strongly recommend using the original guitar screw, as it will fit perfectly into the existing screw hole.

A small drop of wood glue on the tip of the screw is optional. This will increase the hold of the screw.

Was an underlay (felt, leather, ...) included with the original guitar pin? Then please use this underlay again when mounting the Richter Strap Lock Pin. Make sure that the newly mounted Richter Strap Lock guitar pins are firmly seated.

2. Attaching the strap pin receptacles with locking mechanism

Prepare the pin holes of your guitar strap for the passage of the 10mm thread of the Richter Strap Lock system. We offer in our online store a punch with ∅ 10 mm to adjust (item #1406) especially for this.

Turn the nut from the thread of the strap pin mount and remove the washer.

Insert the thread of the strap pin receiver from the back of the guitar strap through the 10 mm pin hole. The opening of the pick-up rail points upwards.

Now place the washer on the front of the guitar strap and screw the nut onto the thread. Tighten the nut with a 13 mm wrench.

Make sure that the nut is held firmly in place.

3. Use

To lock the Richter Strap Lock System, pull the knob on the locking bolt of the strap pin receiver. With the knob pulled, slide the strap pin receiver over the strap pin until it stops. Only then release the button and the bolt locks in the seat belt pin receptacle. Check that the system is held securely.

The strap is now securely connected to the guitar.

Important usage note: Check fit of strap pin and nut hold on strap pin receptacles before each use. If necessary, tighten the screws and nuts.
