Doepfer Dark Link

Dark Link is a USB/Midi-to-CV/Gate interface that can be used to control monophonic synthesizers via Midi or USB. Dark Link is identical in construction to the USB/Midi interface from Dark Energy.
The device provides 4 analog control voltages (CV1...4) and a gate signal.

- Gate output (with LED display, also for learning function), 0/+5V
- CV1: controlled by midi note commands, 1V/octave, 0...+5V
- CV2: controlled via midi pitch bend (optionally zero-symmetrical approx. -2.5...+2.5V or purely positive 0...+5V, selectable via internal jumper, see below for details)
- CV3: controlled by midi velocity (0...+5V)
- CV4: controlled via Midi Control Change, controller number freely selectable via learning mode (0...+5V)
- Glide control (portamento function for CV1)

- CV1...CV4 and Gate are designed as 3.5 mm jack sockets (compatible e.g. with A-100)
- Midi channel, reference tone and midi controller number for CV4 adjustable via learn button and LED

The device is identical to the interface built into Dark Energy.

The scope of delivery also includes: a plug-in transformer 12V AC/min. 400mA (for mains voltage 230V), a USB cable (type A-B) and the operating instructions

A power supply via USB is not possible because the analogue circuits of the device work with +/-12V.

A special connection cable is available for operating devices with S-Trigger.
