Powered by the same high-performance octa-core processor as the flagship RØDECaster Video, the RØDECaster Video S delivers uncompromising quality in a more compact, desktop-friendly format. Three HDMI inputs and a configurable HDMI output allow easy connection and switching between multiple cameras or other external devices. A flexible USB-C input extends the possibilities and allows creatives to supplement their setup with additional video or audio sources if necessary.

On the audio side, the RØDECaster Video S is equipped with two Neutrik® combo inputs that have RØDE’s ultra-noise-free Revolution PreampsT. In addition, there are two integrated Series IV receivers for wireless microphones and Bluetooth® connectivity for maximum flexibility - ideal for recording with XLR or USB microphones, radio systems or remote guests. Each of the nine stereo audio channels is enhanced by APHEX® processing, including compressors, noise gates, de-eaters, as well as the legendary Aural ExciterT, Big BottomT and CompellorT effects for professional studio sound.

EFFICIENT WORKFLOW, INTUITIVE OPERATION

At the heart of the RØDECaster Video S is a scene-based workflow that gives content creators precise control over every aspect of their production. Four dedicated video source buttons, five scene buttons and four freely assignable function keys allow you to trigger video feeds, layout changes, media playback or chroma keying with just one push of a button. The high-resolution two-inch touch display and versatile rotary knob provide precise control over transitions, settings and levels - for a smooth, responsive production process.

For solo operators, the RØDECaster Video S offers a smart auto-switching system that automatically switches camera views based on the person in keeping a talking person - for dynamic, hands-free video control. The innovative Inspect function allows you to prepare inputs or scenes immediately and safely to ensure error-free transitions and consistent quality. In combination with the Multiview ad, users keep an eye on all sources at the same time and have their entire production under control.

LIFT PRODUCTION TO A NEW LEVEL

Whether live stream or recording for post-processing - the RØDECaster Video S can be seamlessly integrated into any creative setup. Streams can be sent directly over Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB to YouTube, Twitch, and other platforms, or recorded directly to an external USB drive or SSD – with the ability to separately store all video and audio sources to provide maximum flexibility in post-processing.

A highlight is the NDI® support, which allows video and audio to be sent directly via network to the RØDECaster Video S. With the RØDE Capture app, an iPhone can be transformed into a high-quality wireless camera in no time, which simultaneously accommodates with a front and rear camera - ideal for interviews, podcasts or solo content, where perspective and reaction count. In conjunction with the mixer’s remote control via the RØDECaster app, content producers have full control over the setup, monitoring, and management of their production – anywhere in the studio.
