Combined with must-have professional features like ADAT expandability and customizable monitor control, the iD48 is ready to transform the studio experience. The Audient Console Preamp lets you set optimal levels for recordings. It offers 68dB of gain, extremely low noise and low distortion with a touch of classic analog warmth. The iD48 's 8 Audient Console mic preamps ensure clean, accurate and source-faithful translation of audio data. It's the same fully analog and discrete mic preamp circuitry used in Audient's renowned ASP8024-HE recording console. No emulations, no copies, just real analog console mic preamps. 32-bit ESS DAC converter technology minimizes quality loss and maximizes performance during conversion, ensuring sound is cleaner, clearer and more accurate than ever before. And with a dynamic range of 126.5 dB, subtle details are heard more clearly, making trouble spots easier to spot. With its D-Sub connectors, the iD48 offers eight fully balanced inserts that can be used to connect preferred outboard effects before conversion - for the cleanest and clearest signal path possible. Perfect for stem mixing and print backs. And for the first time ever, the iD48 's switchable insert routing lets you select the source that feeds the ADC path. This allows you to choose whether the Audient Mic Preamp or the DAW outputs are sent to the outboard, per channel, and all without having to plug or unplug cables. And if you want to record external analog microphone preamps, the iD48 Returns can be used to bypass the Audient Mic Preamp, providing a very clean and direct conversion path for recording. The iD48 is not only a powerful USB-C audio interface, but also offers everything you need to control monitoring in the studio. Speakers or other hardware can be connected for monitoring via the main and alt speaker outputs, as well as the additional line outputs. Two completely independent stereo headphone amplifiers, with a dynamic range of 124 dB and enough power for headphones up to 600 ohms, offer the possibility of mixing confidently via headphones. Using the configurable function keys, any of the iD48 's powerful monitoring functions such as Speaker Select, Dim or Mono Sum can be assigned to the two dedicated hardware function keys. The iD48 's innovative talkback technology can also be used, allowing a USB microphone or the computer's built-in microphone to be used as a dedicated talkback microphone, freeing up the mic preamps for recording. Together with a free suite of creative software such as Cubase LE, as well as industry-leading plugins and virtual instruments, you can start recording straight out of the box.
