Description
The opsix mkII is an incredibly versatile synthesizer based on the concept of altered FM synthesis. “Altered FM” Specifically, this means that it is a full-fledged FM synth with 6 operators, but also offers five additional operator modes - namely Ring Mod, Filter, Filter FM, Wave Folder and Effect - which means that there are almost endless possibilities Possibilities for sound design arise. Thanks to its polyphony of 64 voices, even more extensive soundscapes can be achieved, and classic FM pianos finally sound so great when combined with an optional damper pedal. and full, as you have always dreamed of. The innovative operator mixer makes FM synthesis, which is generally considered complicated, easy to understand, because each individual operator is assigned its own fader for the volume and a rotary control for the tuning. Clever LED color coding also makes it immediately clear which operator carries a modulator signal and which carries a carrier signal. In this way, switching between different algorithms is no longer a problem, as it is clear at all times which function is assigned to the individual operators. There are a total of 40 algorithms to choose from. If you still can't find the right algorithm, you can also create your own algorithms - and even for each sound program individually! With the powerful multimode filter, the sounds generated in this way can be further processed and then finally refined using the three separate effect blocks. The step sequencer offers a total of 16 steps and is designed to be polyphonic, which is why harmony sequences are not a hurdle. Thanks to the additional motion sequencing function, almost all of the synth's sound-shaping parameters can be automated. In addition to the total of six operator modes, an extremely flexible modulation matrix with three envelopes, three LFOs and 12 virtual patch connections is available to be able to implement even the most complex sound modulations. The inspiring Randomize function can also be used to create new sound programs on a random basis and use them as a basis for new sound creations.
