Description
An entire amp circuit recreated in miniature, faithfully emulating the overdrive and tremolo sounds of a vintage 1961 Fender® Brown Deluxe.
The DELUXE61 provides very vintage tone that’s equally at home in a traditional or modern rig.
Origin Effects founder, Simon Keats says “The DELUXE61 is so much more than just a tremolo pedal. It’s a complete ‘amp recreation’, giving you all the tones of the famous Brown Deluxe, whether it’s soft, swampy trem or Southern Rock crunch. The new name conveys the pedal's true capabilities, sitting alongside our MAGMA57, which pays tribute to Magnatone’s 200 series amps.”
Though the name has changed, the sounds and circuitry remain the same, with the DELUXE61 pedals receiving a slight adjustment in output level to match the MAGMA57 pedal.
The Origin Effects IR Cab Library includes six cabs and combos from our large collection of vintage gear, all of which were used in the development of their all-analogue Amp Recreation series. Having spent so much effort designing these pedals to include preamp, phase inverter, power amp and rectifier simulation, Origin Effects have decided it’s time to give players the missing piece of that super-realistic puzzle – the cabs. The IRs themselves are 200ms in length and are supplied in multiple formats to ensure compatibility with the majority of IR loaders and DAW software.

Specifications
- CONTROLS:
DRIVE: The DRIVE control behaves like the volume knob on a vintage non-master-volume guitar amplifier. Set anticlockwise for clean sounds, or turn it up for more overdrive.
TONE: Turn the TONE knob clockwise for a brighter sound. Turn anticlockwise to tame highs. At lower DRIVE settings, the TONE knob will boost high frequencies above 12 o’clock and cut highs below 12 o’clock. With DRIVE pushed past 12 o’clock, the TONE control progressively loses the ability to boost until, with DRIVE at maximum, it’s essentially a high cut control.
OUTPUT: The output control sets the pedal’s overall output level. This control comes after the pedal’s simulated valve amp circuitry, meaning that you can adjust output level without affecting the tone or character of the overdrive.
SPEED: Turn clockwise to increase the rate of the tremolo effect. The range of the SPEED control is set by the three-position MULTI switch.
INTENSITY: The INTENSITY knob controls the depth of the tremolo – in other words, how much the tremolo will vary the amplitude of the signal. Turn clockwise to increase the depth of the effect.
MULTI: The MULTI switch multiplies the tremolo speed set by the SPEED knob (x1, x2 or x3). This is particularly useful when using an external tap tempo footswitch, letting you set tremolo speeds much faster than your foot can tap.
SHAPE: The SHAPE switch allows you to choose between two different LFO waveforms - SINE WAVE (the classic bias tremolo sound) or FULL WAVE (an asymmetrical waveform with a ‘choppier’ feel – useful at slower speeds or when playing with more overdriven sounds).
POST-DRIVE EQ: This proprietary filter ensures compatibility with a wide range of amplifiers. Instead of altering your amp or its tone controls to suit the Deluxe61, set your amp for the desired clean sound then use the Post- Drive EQ controls to tailor the pedal’s output accordingly. Use with bright amps (EQ1), dark, mid-heavy amps (EQ2) or flat power amps, PA systems and recording interfaces (P/AMP). Fine tune the POST-DRIVE EQ shape using the ADJ control.
