Vahlbruch FX SpaceTime V2 / Delay/Echo

The "SpaceTime" is a hand-made echo device. Due to its unique circuit, it combines the advantages of the analog and digital audio worlds. The direct guitar signal is not digitized but processed analogously and is therefore free of latency, the character and dynamics of the guitar are completely preserved. In a parallel signal path, only the generation of the echo is realized digitally. This echo signal is then mixed back into the analog output signal. The "SpaceTime" offers the usual control options with "Time", "Repeats" and "Mix Level" with which the delay time, the number of repetitions and the volume of the echo can be set. There is also a toggle switch that influences the timbre of the repetition. The three levels "bright", "mellow" and "dark" allow a targeted reduction of the treble component, so that warm and analogue echo sounds can be easily created. An internal DIP switch also allows switching between "true bypass" or "buffered bypass", as well as a kill- dry mode. This means that the "SpaceTime" can be optimally fitted into any signal chain.
Equipped with the MagTraB switching concept:

All foot switches are designed as buttons. A magnet is incorporated into the button head, the position of which is recorded by a sensor inside the device. If the button is now moved, e.g. if it is pressed downwards, the position of the magnet naturally also changes. The sensor measures this change without contact and passes it on via a microcontroller to a gold-contacted relay, which then carries out the actual switching process without any time delay.
The advantages of MagTraB technology:

- MagTraB buttons are virtually indestructible! Compared to conventional foot switches, they provide an almost infinite number of switching cycles - many, many millions!!
- No annoying, mechanical switch clicking! Instead, the MagTraB buttons switch almost silently and with a very smooth soft-touch switching feeling!

Should the device be immediately "on" when switched on or in "bypass"?

Simply reprogram:

Step 1: Unplug the power supply.
Step 2: Press and hold "MagTraB".
Step 3: Plug the power supply back in.
Step 4: Release the “MagTraB” switch.
DONE! Next time your pedal will start in the other state.

Kill- dry via internal switch, but of course the sound remains the same!
