Das Modularsystem im Eurorack mit nur 3 HE-Einbauhöhe ist im Wesentlichen die Entwicklung von Dieter Doepfer aus München. Aufgrund ihrer klassischen Gestaltung sind seine Module schnell verständlich, vielfältig anwendbar und lassen oft sogar Raum für eigene Eingriffe durch Modifikationen. Die Montage ist einfach. Module, Patchkabel und anderes Zubehör sind im Gegensatz zu den meisten Kleinherstellern in der Regel stets lieferbar.
