The special wooden mouthpiece with precision sensor and the combination of a MIDI merger, an integrated MIDI interface and innovative parameters create the conditions for a highly precise and sensitive live and studio performance of your ideas. 10 of 12 parameters allow the course of the controller signals to be adapted to the most diverse requirements. For example, an adjustable release allows you to breathe without losing the sound. A dynamic attack enables filigree control even in pianissimo. Real-time data reduction, inversion and limitation of the signal and, of course, drive and offset complete the setting options. All parameters can be saved in 25 presets. In addition, the breath value is permanently shown on the display.

The concept of the hb1 is innovative and goes far beyond the possibilities of a breath controller.
Thanks to the integration of standard MIDI and USB interfaces, the hb1 can be used both with and without a computer. The hb1 is handcrafted in Germany with attention to detail and a focus on sustainability.

The hb1 consists of a controller unit and a highly precise pressure sensor unit, which is connected to the mouthpiece by a silicone hose and to the controller unit by a sensor cable. The mouthpiece, made from checker berry wood, is attached to a stainless steel tube with an infinitely adjustable air passage valve. The pressure sensor unit is worn around the neck like a piece of jewelery with a leather strap.
