A 4-color, cheerful cello school for early instrumental lessons with children aged 5-9. The teaching material is conveyed in a playful and clear manner; The title “Cello-Bär” already shows this: it helps the child to experience the characteristics of the instrument and to identify with it. The cello is first tried out, a picture story is set to music, then the first songs and rhythms are played. This introduction to the instrument takes place without notes, so that the idea of ​​sound and hearing or listening are the focus. Then comes playing with open strings, not as a dry exercise, but playfully and creatively: the children make different rhythm cards with which they can "cook" a new meal for the cello bear every week. So they invent their own bow and string exercises and are, so to speak, composers right from the start, but very carefully, so that at the end of the first book they are fingering and bowing at the same time.
