This is a great wireless system for home use. The battery lasts a long time, it does not experience any interference. And to my ears, the tone is not affected. If you are deciding between this and something cheaper, spend the extra money on this from the beginning so that you don't have to pay twice.

Description
WL-20: Built-In Cable Tone Simulation
If you play a guitar or bass with standard passive pickups (the most common pickup type), the WL-20 model is probably your best choice. It includes built-in cable tone simulation, which reproduces the natural capacitive effect that's introduced when using a 10-foot/3-meter guitar cable with passive pickups. This effect rolls off the treble very slightly, giving you the warm tone you're used to hearing with a normal cable.
Lightning-Fast BOSS Wireless Technology
Equipped with high-performance BOSS wireless technology that debuted in the Katana-Air wireless guitar amp, the WL-20 series delivers exceptional sound quality with wide dynamic range. Working in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, the optimum channel is set automatically to ensure rock-solid audio performance with absolutely no drop-outs. And with ultra-low latency of just 2.3 ms, you'll always enjoy great playing feel with no lag whatsoever. Up to 14 BOSS wireless systems can be used simultaneously in one space, allowing multiple musicians to enjoy wireless freedom at the same time.*
Plug In and Rock
A WL-20 system is literally as simple to use as a standard guitar cable. The small transmitter plugs into your instrument, while a matching receiver plugs into a pedal or amp. That's it!

very good product, a bit pricey but is cable free so hassle free
I’ve heard complaints about the latency, but I don’t notice any, even playing fast, tapping. etc.
The Xvive has higher latency and don’t notice that either. Fits most Gibson and Fender jacks, doesn’t fit
the PRS Silver Sky jack, or the concave Asher jack, had to use the Xvive for those guitars. The Boss WL transmitter has a small, spring loaded tumbler that turns on the transmitter when inserted into a jack. I’ve had to unscrew the jack and bend the jack prong to get enough pressure on the tumbler to activate the transmitter on a few of my Fenders and a
Duesenberg Starplayer Special. The Xvive has an on/off switch, no tumbler, (no prong adjusting), and is narrow so it fits any guitar jack. IMHO the Boss sounds a tiny bit better. For recording, I would advise using a cable. In a live gig, especially through a PA system, only a pro musician with a really good ear is going to notice the difference between the WL vs cable. If you use WL, always have a cable ready for backup. Remember Murphy’s Law, and the Boy Scout motto:
Be Prepared.
Good for practice. Sound quality not good enough for performing, not dynamic enough. Hopefully one day there will be wireless that IS good enough. **Addendum: You do lose some tiny bits and pieces, but if your amp is miked through a PA system the difference between a cable and this wireless will very likely go unnoticed. I’ve read some complaints about the latency, but I don’t detect any, the Vive has higher latency and I don’t detect that either. Maybe some ultra-high speed shredder can detect it. This wireless won’t work on the PRS Silver Sky, won’t fit in the jack plate, the Vive will**
I am delighted with these wireless connectors from bose. Very good life span, i used these for over three hours and the quality of the sound was still amazing.
Highly recommend these for any guitarist. Whether its electric or acoustic. Brilliant pieve of equipment.
