Die AS ist eine Semi-Akustik Gitarre, die es mit jeder Musikrichtung aufnehmen kann. Die Tonabnehmer wurden in einen Sustain-Block gesetzt, der Rückkopplungen durch die starrere Konstruktion vermeidet. Sie reagiert deutlich spritziger als Gitarren in Solid-Body Bauweise. Der Quick Change III Steg erleichtert den schnellen Saitenwechsel. Durch die Maple-Decke und die Brücke aus Metall orientiert sich die AS-Serie deutlich näher an E-Gitarrensounds, als es andere Vertreter der Artcore Serie tun.
